A local charity seeks a Volunteer Treasurer to manage finances for a community group in Huntingdonshire. Responsibilities include recording financial activities, providing reports to the committee, and ensuring compliance with financial policies. This volunteer role requires confidence with numbers, computer skills, and the ability to engage with local staff. As part of a welcoming team, you'll contribute to supporting those affected by Parkinson’s. Flexible hours of about 2-3 per month can be worked from home.
Volunteers are pivotal to the running our local groups which are an integral part of local community. We are looking for a volunteer to oversee the groups finances. The role is crucial to enable the group to function. Tasks include paying invoices, banking donated money and keeping a track of the groups spending. Whilst experience of this type of voluntary role and/or book keeping is helpful it isn’t essential, just the ability to work with electronic documents. You will be supported by Branch committee and local member of staff.
This role can be done from home, is flexible at a time to suit you and will be for about 2/3 hours a months.

This vital role supports local groups across the UK which are run by volunteers, offering friendship and support to people living with Parkinson’s, their families and friends. As a pivotal part of the local volunteer team, you will help plan group spending for the benefit of people affected by Parkinson’s in your community.
It’s important that people affected by Parkinson’s can trust us with their personal information. As a Branch Treasurer you would be handling personal or sensitive data, so by undertaking this role you’ll need to complete and maintain your data protection and confidentiality training. To be a signatory on a local group account, banks will perform a credit check and we will take up a reference. Volunteers cannot perform this role if they have been declared bankrupt.
