About the role

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our team at Meat Flour Wine. This is a casual position with 2 days on average, maximum on Monday and Tuesday.

Now with two locations and soon to be three, our growing team requires an in‑house bookkeeper to process pays, manage financial transactions and reconcile as well as input invoices to the correct locations and manage invoices for stock transfers between the two sites.

What you'll be doing
  • Accurately recording financial transactions, including invoicing, accounts payable and receivable
  • Reconciling bank statements and managing petty cash
  • Preparing monthly financial reports and statements
  • Assisting with the preparation of annual financial statements and tax returns
  • Providing general administrative support to the finance and accounting team
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations
What we're looking for
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role, preferably in a small business environment
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping practices and procedures, as well as a solid understanding of accounting principles
  • Proficiency in using accounting software, such as Xero
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills egész
