Role: Business Intelligence Analyst
Salary: £48,000 - £52,000
Location: Gillingham
Hours: Monday-Friday, 08:30‑17:00 (40 hours per week)
Holiday: 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to play a key role in shaping how data is used to drive performance across a multi‑site, multi‑business organisation. This role focuses on designing, developing, and optimising business intelligence solutions—particularly around a SimPro CRM environment—to deliver actionable insights, streamline processes, and improve decision‑making.
You will work closely with stakeholders across the business, translating requirements into effective reporting, dashboards, and system improvements, while also supporting users through training and guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and define reporting and analysis requirements with stakeholders
- Design, develop, and optimise Power BI dashboards, datasets, and reports
- Map, analyse, and document business processes and workflows
- Validate data accuracy and consistency across multiple data sources
- Analyse datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies
- Work with sales, customer service, projects, and engineering teams to ensure systems support operational needs
- Translate business requirements into functional CRM processes, liaising with vendors where required
- Identify and implement opportunities for automation and process improvement
- Provide training and ongoing support to system users
- Maintain documentation including process maps, user stories, specifications, and guides
- Support day‑to‑day CRM system operations as needed
About You
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with proven process‑mapping experience
- High attention to detail and data accuracy
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
- Commercially minded, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Advanced SQL skills for querying and analysis
- Strong Power BI experience, including data modelling, DAX, Power Query, and governance
- 5+ years' experience in BI, business analysis, or a similar technical role
- CRM experience (SimPro highly desirable) and experience delivering user training
- Knowledge of data governance, security, and continuous improvement practices
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Microsoft PL‑300) desirable but not essential
- Willingness to travel between sites, including occasional overnight stays
