Location: Merthyr Tydfil

Hours: Full time. Shifts between 7.30 am-6.00 pm, Monday to Sunday (some flexibility required)

Contract Type: Temporary

Duration: 6 months

Pay Rate: £12.70 per hour

Start Date: ASAP

Manpower is recruiting an experienced Barista on behalf of our public sector client to work within a busy coffee shop. You will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service, preparing high-quality beverages and maintaining the smooth day-to-day running of the unit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve a range of hot and cold drinks, including specialty coffees and teas.
  • Provide friendly and efficient customer service at all times.
  • Operate the till and handle cash and card transactions accurately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across the café, including tables, counters, and equipment.
  • Restock supplies and assist with deliveries when required.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
  • Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and health and safety procedures.
Candidate Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar coffee shop or café role is essential.
  • Passion for delivering excellent customer service.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly across early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Reliable, enthusiastic, and a team player.
  • Standard DBS check (Manpower covers the cost of this)
