Are you a Podiatrist ready for a new challenge?

Do you want to live in the thriving multi‑cultural Southwest with easy access to the countryside, city, and sea? If so, we are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Podiatrist to join our team.

You will be working as part of a motivated, supportive, and friendly team across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire, with a proven track record of internal career promotion to senior roles. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and the ability to work under pressure as an individual and as part of the wider team.

As an autonomous practitioner you will use evidence‑based practice to formulate and deliver individualised treatment plans for patients in tron community, clinical and secondary outpatient settings as well as in people’s homes. You will apply appropriate clinical reasoning to manage a varied caseload consisting of high‑risk, diabetes, wound care and biomechanics patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a high standard of podiatric care to maintain tissue viability, mobility and independence for high‑risk patients or those with an acute infection via assessment, diagnosis and care plans, including specialist plans for patients with neuropathies, vascular, neurological issues, wound care management, diabetes, musculoskeletal and rheumatological problems.
  • Prioritise and supervise own workload as a senior practitioner.
  • Support, mentor junior staff, students and apprentices.
  • Organise and forward‑plan the day‑to‑day running of podiatry clinics, domiciliary sessions, assess new patients and act as a point of contact for any issues or problems arising with the Podiatry Service (clinical or administrative).
  • Triage referrals and redirect where appropriate following relevant pathways.
  • Contribute to multi‑disciplinary care by discussing own and others’ input around patients’ needs, ensuring a well‑co‑ordinated care plan, agreeing shared decision‑making on individual patient management.
