Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for 2 Band 6 Occupational Therapist who is dynamic and passionate about stroke rehabilitation to join our supportive and caring team.

The Community Stroke Rehabilitation Team offers specialist multi-disciplinary rehabilitation to adults who have had a stroke in a community setting. You will work closely with other professionals such as physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, psychologists, dietitians, nurses, therapy assistant practitioners and rehabilitation assistants. The service provides goal focused, time limited rehabilitation interventions in patient’s home environments and other settings as appropriate.

The stroke rehab team work closely alongside colleagues from Leeds Teaching Hospital Trust, as well as third sector organisations such as the Stroke Association, to support patients along the whole stroke pathway, from hospital to home.

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual, who is passionate about helping patients to improve their quality of life and helping staff to develop in their roles, and who can collaborate well with the team. They need to be highly effective with time management and work efficiently with prioritisation and deadlines.
