Day to Day Responsibilities

Teammate Interaction – work alongside folks like Project Manager, Coordinators, UX / UI Designers and other friendly Dev's as part of a larger team.

  • Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliableLaravelapplications.
  • Develop and integrateRESTful APIsand third-party services.
  • Deployment of applications & services
  • Write clean, well-documented, and testable code following best practices.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration between systems.
  • Participate in code reviews, daily stand-ups, and sprint planning sessions.
  • Optimise applications for maximum speed, scalability, and security.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing applications.
  • Contribute to architectural decisions and technical planning.
Must Have's
  • 3+ yearsof professional experience usingLaravel
  • Strong understanding ofMVC architecture,ORMs (Eloquent), andservice containers.
  • Experience withMySQLdatabases, including schema design and query optimisation.
  • Solid understanding ofAPI development(REST, JSON).
  • Proficient inGitand modern version control workflows (GitHub/Bitbucket).
  • Experience withqueuing systems(e.g. Laravel Queues, Redis, RabbitMQ).
  • Familiarity with containerisationand deployment processes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, especially when working in hybrid teams.
  • Experience withAWS / Azure / DigitalOceanor other cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge offront-end frameworks(e.g. Blade, React) for API integration.
  • Contributions to open-source projects or involvement in the Laravel community.
  • Working knowledge of unit testing and automated testing tools
