Role Overview

Associate Director or Director – Business & Relationship Management (BRM), based in our London office. This role resides within the Africa BRM team and is focused on developing Fitch’s regional ratings portfolio across the African continent, originating new business and executing strategies to support long‑term sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create a coordinated outreach plan in partnership with EMEA BRM seniors and internal stakeholders to secure new business and retain existing relationships.
  • Deepen Fitch’s access at the C‑suite level, showcasing the brand and building a broad network of senior relationships with market participants.
  • Build coherent and centralised data reporting standards to support financial optimisation and internal operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate virtual and in‑person events, including webinars, podcasts, panel discussions and roundtables.
  • Partner with Analytical staff, Investor Development teams and Marketing to support new and ongoing Fitch initiatives across new asset classes.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of financial services/investment banking experience in international fixed income capital markets.
  • Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce and ability to generate reports and export data via Excel.
  • In‑depth knowledge of the African business environment.
Desired Skills
  • High‑energy team player with strong communication and presentation skills, able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Solid understanding of debt capital markets, proactive outreach to issuers and prospects, and ability to promote Fitch products and perspectives.
  • Strong communication skills; an advantage is French language proficiency.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to work within a supervisory framework.
