Your new role

Associate Director of Mechanical Engineering, you'll play a vital role in every aspect of mechanical engineering in Transformational Programmes for critical UK infrastructure.

With opportunities to work on iconic engineering projects. They specialise in all aspects of mechanical engineering, within multiple challenging and engaging sectors.

Such as Water, Aviation, Defence, Energy, Cities & Development and Education.

  • Lead and inspire teams to deliver technical design solutions that meet relevant standards, codes, and the highest quality benchmarks.
  • Define project briefs and scopes of work, and contribute to compelling bid proposals.
  • Manage budgets and schedules effectively, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within agreed milestones.
  • Collaborate with UK and international teams to create integrated, innovative design solutions.
  • Establish and uphold quality assurance standards across all design activities.
  • Develop and grow mechanical engineering capability within the practice, fostering technical excellence and team development.
What you'll need to succeed
  • Chartered or Fellow Mechanical Engineer.
  • Experience in ongoing design delivery, including multidisciplinary design.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical equipment, such as pumps, blowers, screens and chemical dosing plant, as well as a deep understanding of current UK design Standards and working practices.
  • Water or aligned sector experience
