Hays Construction are recruiting for a well-known and highly reputable Construction Contractor based in Merseyside. We are looking for a motivated and highly ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent commercial graduate with 2-3 years of post-graduate experience to develop their skills and grow within the company

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
• Support the preparation of tender documents and contracts
• Monitor project progress and ensure costs are kept within budget
• Collaborate with the Senior QS / Commercial Manager, Project Managers, Site Teams and all external stakeholders involved in the project
• Prepare and submit regular reports on project financials, manage costs, variations and valuations

Requirements:

• Ideally, a B.Sc. Quantity Surveying
• 2-3 years of post-graduate experience with a Quantity Surveying role
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., MS Excel, cost estimating software)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a wider Commercial team
• You must be highly ambitious, and want to drive your career forward within Quantity Surveying
