Overview

We are a well-established drylining contractor delivering high-quality interior finishes across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team and support the commercial operations of our projects.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, tenders, and contract documentation.
  • Measure and value drylining works from drawings and on-site.
  • Monitor project budgets, track variations, and assist in the preparation of interim and final accounts.
  • Liaise with site managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure commercial requirements are met.
  • Support the Senior Quantity Surveyor in procurement of materials and subcontractors.
  • Carry out site visits for valuations and progress tracking.
  • Maintain up-to-date project records and assist with financial reporting.
Requirements
  • Degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying or working towards it (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisation.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and ideally familiar with estimating/measurement software.
  • Full UK driving licence preferred.
  • Some experience (internship, placement, or similar) in construction or drylining is a bonus but not essential.
