About this role

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, passionate, and reliable individual eager to develop their coaching experience and become part of our friendly coaching team. In this role, you’ll assist with coaching sessions for a wide range of age groups — from Mini Reds (ages 4+) through to Yellow Ball players (ages 11–18). You’ll receive full training to understand and embrace the Delgado Tennis culture and coaching philosophy, with the goal of leading some groups independently by the summer term. Candidates who are planning to enroll in the Level 2 Instructor Course are especially encouraged to apply. Our facilities at Braywick Leisure Centre include indoor space for Mini Reds and six outdoor hard courts for orange, green, and yellow ball sessions, providing a fantastic environment for both coaching and learning. Our sessions are Tuesday - Friday after school hours & Saturday all day.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with coaching sessions for a wide range of age groups (Mini Reds to Yellow Ball).
  • Receive full training in Delgado Tennis culture and coaching philosophy.
  • Lead some groups independently by summer term.
  • Work in indoor (All Red sessions) and outdoor (Junior and Big Hitters sessions) settings.

  • Enrolling or planning to enroll in the Level 2 Instructor Course.
  • Passionate about tennis and enjoy working with young players.
  • Very positive, eager to learn how to run groups, and desire to grow coaching career in a supportive team.
