We are seeking a dedicated, dynamic, and inspirational Assistant Headteacher to help shape the future of our school. Working closely with the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher, you will play a key role in leading curriculum, Teaching & Learning, and whole-school improvement. In the absence of the Headteacher, responsibilities will be shared with the Deputy Headteacher. The role also includes a 50% teaching commitment, giving you the chance to remain closely connected to the classroom and our pupils.
We are a thriving SEN secondary academy with around 210 pupils in Years 7–11, all of whom have Education, Health and Care Plans. Our students have a range of learning difficulties, autism, and speech, language and communication needs. At Pinewood, we believe every child deserves the chance to flourish, and your leadership will help them build confidence, independence, and the skills they need to thrive in the wider community.
