Assistant Headteacher – (inc Teaching Responsibilities)
£45,000 - £50,000 | Full Time (40 hours/week)

This is a unique opportunity to take a key leadership role in shaping the educational journey of young people who have struggled in mainstream settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Join the Senior Leadership Team to lead and manage the school
  • Teaching of Core Subjects
  • Oversee teaching quality, curriculum, and pupil progress
  • Manage staff teams and resources
  • Deputise for Associate and Executive Headteachers as needed
  • Lead daily teaching and learning operations
  • Support staff development and appraisals
  • Deliver a small teaching timetable
  • Identify and report safeguarding trends; ensure strong safeguarding
  • Provide safeguarding training
  • Manage diverse behavioural needs to support staff
  • Attend multi-agency meetings to support pupils
Requirements
  • Proven school leadership and improvement experience
  • Strong knowledge of Ofsted and school standards
  • Experienced in safeguarding, curriculum, and staff management
  • Exceptional practitioner skilled at raising teaching and learning standards
  • Expert in behaviour management, able to enforce high standards school-wide
  • Deep understanding of SEND Code of Practice
