A progressive farming business based in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Assistant Farm Manager. This hands-on role involves supporting the Farm Manager, overseeing field teams, and maintaining crop health. I'm recruiting on behalf of a progressive, family-owned farming business that operates at serious scale, and they're creating a brand-new Assistant Farm Manager role as part of their next phase of growth.
This is not a graduate position. It's a hands‑on, sleeves‑rolled-up opportunity for someone who genuinely understands vegetables, enjoys being out in the field, and wants more responsibility without losing the practical side of farming.
You'll support the Farm Manager across planning and delivery of crop programmes - from rotations and planting schedules through to harvest and quality. You'll oversee field teams during peak periods, monitor pests and disease, manage irrigation and weeding programmes, and ensure crops are delivered to spec.
