Job description
Responsibilities

Reporting to the Chief Operations Engineer (Shift Operations), the appointee will mainly perform the following responsibilities:

  • To provide round-the-clock operational services and restore supply to customers promptly and safely after supply interruption
  • To handle power system alarms and emergency service calls, repair faulty equipment efficiently, restore supply security promptly and carry out tests on high voltage apparatus in the distribution system
  • To assist Engineers in monitoring contractors to carry out trenching work, fitting work and transportation work and monitor their performance
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines with qualifications leading to Corporate Member of HKIE
  • Grade A Registered Electrical Worker (REW) and holder of a valid driving license for Class 1 vehicle an advantage
  • Good command of English and Chinese languages, both spoken and written
