Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a builder's merchant or with building materials preferred.
  • Supervisory experience in a retail or merchant environment.
  • Full Manual clean driving license is preferred.

Assistant Branch Manager page is loaded## Assistant Branch Managerremote type: Site-based onlylocations: JPS Newcastle under Lymetime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todaytime left to apply: End Date: January 5, 2026 (23 days left to apply)job requisition id: JR32950**Jewson Partnership Solutions**, a leading building materials distributor in Northern Europe, is looking for an **Assistant Branch Manager** at their Hub in **Newcastle Under Lyme**, supplying local housing associations and hospitals.We provide a fulfilling and enjoyable work environment with ample opportunities for career growth, along with a competitive salary, staff discount, life assurance, and 34 days of holiday (inclusive of bank holidays).**Hours:** 07:00 – 17:00 Monday to Friday**Key Responsibilities*** Act as first line support to the Branch Manager to lead and support the team to deliver success* Provide an excellent customer experience, maintaining strong effective relationships with both local customers and suppliers* Process customer orders both over the phone and in person* Deliver a wide variety of products to our customers using a 3.5t Box Van when needed* Pick items to fulfil customer orders ready for collection or delivery* Check incoming stock deliveries and put away in appropriate area* Getting to know our product lines and services to make the most of all customer interactions* Perform branch administration duties including processing purchase memos and ensuring all documentation is handled correctly* Maintain stock levels, carrying out regular stock counts* Make Health & Safety a priority and demonstrate how you can keep yourself and others safe at work* Retirement Savings Plan (Pension) – with Legal & General* Life Assurance - From your first day of employment with us you are automatically covered for a lump-sum death in service benefit of 2 x your basic salary.
