Job summary

A leading care organization in Bolton is seeking an Area Director to oversee teams across the Northwest of England. The role requires strong leadership skills and significant experience in the Learning Disability sector. You will ensure the delivery of quality services while developing your team's capabilities. Qualifications

  • Experience working with those with Learning Disabilities or complex behaviours.
  • Significant managerial experience within the Learning Disability sector.
  • Familiarity with legal frameworks and CQC requirements.

As someone who prioritises our people and the quality of the services we provide, this role will oversee a number of services across the Consensus portfolio. We’re looking for an action-oriented and customer-focused Area Director who can lead the culture, direction, and performance of the Area.

  • Providing strong leadership to Service Managers and Teams, developing an environment that supports them to thrive and deliver their best.
  • To be a visible and accessible leader in your services ensuring a quality, people and commercial focus including oversite of forensic services.
  • Delivering the Area’s financial and growth targets, and the People and Quality KPI’s
  • Working with the Managing Director and finance team to develop the annual budget and Supporting Service Managers in ensuring services are safely staffed and optimally aligned to their budget
  • Ensuring the Service environments, both inside and out, are appropriately and adequately maintained

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have plenty of experience working with those with Learning Disabilities or complex behaviours,forensic cohorts and legal frameworks
  • Significant experience working as a Manager within the Learning Disability sector, preferably Supported Living and/or Residential Care.
  • Bring strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience of working closely with the CQC and Local Authoritiesand other relevant MDT’s.
  • Be confident, flexible and efficient – you’re happy to work on a shift basis and, where required, be on call.
