Qualifications

• Qualified Architectural Technologist (MCIAT) or Architect (RIBA).
• Proficient in AutoCAD LT (2D).
• Strong understanding of standard UK construction techniques.
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.

Responsibilities

• Conduct residential and commercial site surveys.
• Design house extensions, new builds, and commercial fit-outs.
• Prepare and submit planning and building control applications.
• Produce detailed 2D drawings using AutoCAD LT.
• Liaise with clients, planners, and building control officers.
• Manage project stages through to final approval.
• Travel to sites as required.

Role Description

As an Intermediate Architectural Technologist, you’ll play a key role in delivering both residential and commercial projects from inception to completion. You’ll be responsible for producing high-quality drawings for planning and building control, conducting site surveys, and liaising with clients and local authorities. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow into a lead design role within a small but ambitious firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct residential and commercial site surveys
• Design house extensions, new builds, and commercial fit-outs
• Prepare and submit planning and building control applications
• Produce detailed 2D drawings using AutoCAD LT
• Liaise with clients, planners, and building control officers
• Manage project stages through to final approval
• Travel to sites as required – a car and full UK driving license are required
