Overview

Join to apply for the Apprentice Finance Assistant role at Fender Musical Instruments Corporation.

Responsibilities
  • This position provides support and operational assistance to the Finance Team to deliver various finance processes accurately and efficiently for the Fender EMEA countries.
  • The role will provide administrative support and project management assistance where required to the Finance Team.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and standard operating procedures and identify/establish internal controls and ensure their operating effectiveness.
  • Assist where necessary with processing vendor invoices into Accounts Payable system accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Support with the processing of Employee expenses through the expense management system, Navan.
  • Support with balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Create PDF invoices for the intercompany transactions, raising any queries with the Assistant Accountant/Finance Managers.
  • Preparing the Intercompany invoices.
  • Maintain FEC accounts for French authorities.
  • Ad hoc projects.
  • Cover for other accounting teams during absence and holiday.
  • Identify approved process improvements and implement them once approved.

Essential Skills/Knowledge/Experience
  • Studied Accountancy/Business studies/Maths or Economics to A-level or BTech.
  • Interest in studying towards AAT.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Deadline driven with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Proactive.
  • Multi-tasking, flexible and adaptable.
  • Excel (intermediate level) and Word experience.
Desirable Skills/Knowledge/Experience
  • Fluent in another European language.
  • Practical experience of working in a finance function.
