This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in an IT support or application development role to join a friendly and professional team! We pride ourselves on our service to the customer, working to meet the Bank's strategic priorities whilst aligning with the Group IT objectives.
The successful candidate will support the various finance systems used by UK Mortgages, which includes SUMMIT mortgage system, interfaces, reporting and databases. You will encounter a different technical challenge every day which requires analysis and delivery of a solution working within the ITIL framework. This role requires close liaison with external suppliers, internal IT teams and Business areas.
You have good experience working on IT systems (Oracle/SQL/PL*SQL), with strong Oracle knowledge required to be successful in this role. You have a proven track record of developing fixes to resolve service issues with experience in Unix/Lunix and shell scripting. You can work well under SLAs and communicate effectively with people at all levels. You are a problem solver with strong analytical reasoning skills.

Bristol Application Operations (Back End), which is part of Technology Services, is responsible for the full end‑to‑end support of a wide range of systems/applications used by Business users.
This is a hybrid role, based primarily at our Bristol/London office. We typically ask colleagues to spend a minimum of 8 days per month working in‑person to support collaboration and connection.
