Job summary

A leading agronomic services provider in Stratford-upon-Avon is seeking an Agronomy Sales Account Manager to support farmers with trusted advice. The ideal candidate will have a foundation in agronomy, preferably sales experience in the field, and possess excellent communication skills. Responsibilities include developing customer relationships, promoting services at events, and maintaining customer records. Qualifications

  • A strong foundation in agronomy is desirable.
  • Experience in sales, preferably in agronomy.
  • Valid Class G license with clean driver's abstract.
  • Willingness to obtain CCA designation if not already certified.

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Agronomy Sales Account Manager to join our team in supporting our farm community with trusted agronomic advice and services. This is a hands-on opportunity to build long-term relationships with growers while delivering customized recommendations to their operation. Your primary focus will be servicing our existing customer base, while exploring opportunities to grow our footprint in the area.

About Stratford Agri Analysis

Stratford Agri Analysis was founded in 1980 as an agricultural laboratory. In the 2000’s Stratford Agri Analysis was incorporated into Masterfeeds and Alltech companies, providing additional resources in research and technology. Our focus has always been on helping the farmer produce better crops and livestock while trying to keep expenses low.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as primary point of contact for current customers to ensure their agronomic needs are met
  • Develop new customers, either direct on-farm or through dealers to provide laboratory and agronomic services
  • Attend various trade shows, demonstration days, crop meetings throughout the year, promoting the services offered through the laboratory
  • You will be part of the marketing team for Stratford Agri Analysis. This includes providing marketing ideas for our products and services
  • Maintain and update the social media for Stratford Agri Analysis
  • Keep current with industry trends as well as participate in training activities, either within the company or through external courses
  • Maintain records of customers, travel, and expenses.
Qualifications
  • A strong foundation in agronomy is desirable. A degree or diploma in Agriculture is highly valued
  • Experience in sales. Preference for those with an agronomy sales background
  • CCA (Certified Crop Advisor) designation is preferred (or willingness to obtain)
  • Valid Class G license with clean driver’s abstract
  • Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical information clearly
  • Organized, analytical and able to manage your time and your client’s needs effectively
  • Customer first mentality. Must have a passion for helping our customers succeed
