Job Description

The successful candidate will undertake the daily supervision of the Afterschool Club, developing and maintaining high standards throughout, to ensure the welfare of children at all times. They will provide safe, creative and stimulating play activities to meet the needs of children.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Engaging children in purposeful play and fitness activities.
  • Supervising and interacting with children, encouraging positive social skills.
  • Being aware of the school’s policies and procedures and ensuring these are followed.
  • Creating a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all.
  • Being vigilant and reporting any concerns immediately by following school policies.
  • Reflecting on practice and daily routines, making changes where necessary to ensure the needs of the children are met.
  • Forming excellent working relationships with parents/carers, communicating effectively, and sharing information.
  • Working flexibly, assisting, and supporting colleagues where needed.
  • Dealing with accidents, ensuring there are no safety hazards to others and reporting according to school policies and procedures.
