We arelooking for a motivated and enthusiastic Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our friendly team and play a key role in an organisation dedicated to making a difference to patient care.

We are offering the post as full-time (37.5hrs) but would consider a job share with 6 weeks annual leave pro rata.

Our practice is situated on the beautiful Solway Coast,close to the City of Carlisle and within easy reach of the Lake District.Silloth is a thriving seaside town with plenty of shops and eateries and wealso have excellent primary and secondary schools in the area as well asnurseries for pre-school children.

Our patient list size is approx. 4400. We have an excellentnursing team and support staff. We are a high QOF achiever and offer a fullrange of enhanced services. There is no OOH.

Silloth Surgery is a training practice and regularly hostsstudents and GP registrars

We are one of seven practices belonging to the Keswick &Solway Primary Care Network and have ARRS roles attached to the surgery such asFirst Contact Physio and Social Prescribers.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at their home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries and correspondence in a timely fashion.

Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation.

Discussing the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.

Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.

Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols.

Providing counselling and health education.

Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.

Role - Advanced Nurse Practitioner

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate ANP to join our established team and play a key role in an organisation dedicated to making a real difference to patient care.

As an ANP you will work within a supportive multidisciplinary team of clinical and non-clinical colleagues, delivering high quality person-centred care to our registered patients. The role involves comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment and clinical decision making using a holistic and evidence based approach.

  • Current NMC Registration.
  • Proven experience working within a Primary Care environment.
  • Strong commitment to delivery high quality, patient centred care.
  • Adherence to NMC Code of Professional Conduct and a clear understanding of the Scope of Professional Practice.
  • Ability to deliver evidence based, clinically-effective, and cost-effective care.
  • Willingness to participate in and provide clinical supervision.
  • Openness to contributing to practice-based research and service development where appropriate.
