Role Summary and Impact

In this role you will be responsible for the creation, scoping and development of our market leading ADOOH solution (programmatic DOOH). Helping to deliver the most effective, award-winning solutions for our agencies and clients.


While the role is based within the OOH unit, you will work alongside the wider Media Solutions unit in ensuring the ADOOH product aligns with other channel products and our omnichannel programmatic offering. The role will work closely with the OOH planners, agency comms planners, clients and the Solutions Activation team (who manage the delivery via DSPs).


You’ll be overseeing a small team, while also servicing the clients and agencies within your portfolio. You would be expected to also contribute more widely to WPP Media OOH and provide strategic and tactical input into Planning and WPP Media OOH initiatives; to add to the culture of WPP Media OOH, to provide thought leadership and to pro-actively network and be an ambassador for WPP Media OOH.



  • Collaboratively lead the ADOOH Channel Development and integrated output.

  • Be the go-to for what is happening in Programmatic DOOH, with a keen understanding of what the competition are doing in order to help shape solution differentiation.

  • Lead channel innovation to leapfrog our competition appropriately validating ideas through our Desirability, Feasibility, Viability framework.

  • Design solutions with cross-channel agility in mind, noting the connection of media is vital for delivering an integrated WPP Media, where every ad experience works harder for clients.

  • Driving channel testing, operationalisation and best practice for repeatable scale.

  • Collaborate with our media & investment team to ensure effective media utilisation.

  • Develop and deliver a channel roadmap, responsible for your own product materials and work collaboratively to ensure consistency across our documentation.

  • Take the lead on colleague upskilling to ensure an inspiring sell, available as necessary for clients and agency engagements.

  • Be responsible for the compliant design and development of the ADOOH channel solution.

  • Continually review pricing, margin setting, margin extraction and product market fit to ensure time spent is equating to business impact in all areas of responsibility inclusive of those you lead – in conjunction with OOH Investment team.

  • Have a deep understanding of the supply chain and cost model for the solutions and technologies in your remit.

  • Ensure the team is motivated, well managed, on track and well-communicated with at all times.

  • To act as a mentor and role model and to support and grow rising talent.

  • Set accurate forecasts for your team and ensure billing and revenue figures are achieved and to manage profitability.

  • To work closely with the Commercial Investment and Trading Hub to ensure Media Owner agreements are met.

  • To work closely with the Solutions Activation team and other channel development experts.

  • Ensure the department is building solid relationships with WPP Media OOH’s clients and agencies.

  • Leadership & Team Management: Overseeing and motivating a small team, mentoring talent, and fostering collaboration.

  • Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Building strong relationships with clients, agencies, and internal teams; effective communication and upskilling.

  • Commercial Acumen: Managing pricing, margins, profitability, forecasting, and driving business impact.

  • Operational Excellence: Driving testing, best practices, and compliant solution design for scalable operations.
