Job description

ROLE: Admin Level 2 (MFL Department)

SCHOOL: Wickersley School and Sports College

SALARY: WPT Band 3 £25185 - £25989 (£22182 - £22890 pro-rata)

HOURS: 37 per week, term time only, plus all inset days

CONTRACT: Permanent

Are you an organised and efficient administrator looking for a varied role within a vibrant specialist department? We are seeking a proactive Admin Level 2 to provide crucial support to our Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) team, ensuring the department runs smoothly and our teachers have the resources they need to inspire a love of languages.

About WPT

At Wickersley Partnership Trust (WPT), we are fueled by a single commitment: 'We never knowingly do less for other people’s children than we would for our own.' As a thriving network of schools across South Yorkshire, we combine high expectations with embedded inclusivity. We do not work in silos; instead, we rely on deep collaboration and school-to-school support to ensure every student develops socially, emotionally, and academically to achieve the highest standards.

About the Role

Based at Wickersley School and Sports College, you will be the organisational hub of the MFL Department. While you don’t need to be fluent in a foreign language yourself, you do need to be fluent in administration. You will act as the first point of contact for the department, managing resources, updating student data, and assisting with the logistics of a busy subject area. From ensuring textbooks are stocked to helping organise departmental events, your efficiency will allow our teaching staff to focus on what they do best—teaching.

Responsibilities
  • Operational Support: Act as the first point of contact for the MFL department, handling enquiries and providing high-quality administrative support using various ICT packages to ensure efficient daily operations.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records and management information systems, processing data and generating routine reports to support the department’s reporting requirements.
  • Resource Control: Manage departmental stock and equipment (including textbooks and stationery), overseeing deliveries and distribution to ensure teachers have the necessary materials for lessons.
  • Events & General Duties: Support departmental events with logistics and hospitality, whilst assisting with general tasks such as taking meeting minutes and arranging equipment repairs.

The successful candidate must hold an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent

Why Join Us?
