  • Full-time (35 hours), part-time and flexible working patterns available

The role

The purpose of this role is to work as part of a team to maintain an efficient Accounts payable service and assist in the sales receivable ledger service. You will be required to provide financial and administrative services to ensure the efficient, timely and accurate provision of Transactional Services to the group.

You will be responsible for the processing of invoices following a No-PO-No-Pay policy, ensuring CIS invoices are dealt with in the correct manor, raising payment runs through to media stage and any sundry payments that are requested within a timely manner, meeting deadlines.

You will also be the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders for any assistance they may require or any queries they may have with processes or payments. You will review and authorise new supplier requests ensuring relevant checks are taken place.

The role will also include assisting the Transactional Services Manager to ensure any new processes and procedures are adhered, and provide high level support to other managers, budget holders and contract managers.

The right fit
  • You must have experience of working in a fast paced, high volume Accounts Payable Role.
  • You will have good working knowledge of computerised financial systems and desktop applications (Open accounts and Ebis are desirable but not essential).
  • Ideally you will be AAT qualified/part qualified or working towards a suitable qualification.
  • You have knowledge of Reverse VAT Charge and processing invoices under the Construction Industry Scheme.
  • You will have awareness of risk and associated policies to ensure that procedures are followed and managed appropriately.
  • You will have the ability to work as a team and have excellent communication skills.
