Job description

Film and Video Umbrella seek two part-time Producers (three days a week) to deliver FVU’s artist’s moving‑image programme.

Film and Video Umbrella (FVU) commissions, produces and curates moving‑image works by artists. For three decades FVU has led the way in championing new creative talent and promoting innovative ideas.

FVU is hiring two part‑time (three days per week) Producers who will, between them, deliver the organisation’s programme of artists’ movinggol image works, co‑ordinating and overseeing the delivery of our multifaceted production activity. Producers will provide creative production and post‑production support and expertise, working alongside the Director and the team while managing key freelance personnel, to ensure that FVU’s commissions are realised to the highest artistic standard, to deadline and within budget.

Owing to the fluctuating nature of the Producer workload, the role also carries some of the organisational administrative duties, such as administrating FVU’s calls for entry schemes.

If you are an experienced or aspiring Producer, or someone looking to transition into this field (whether from curatorial roles within the visual arts, or from a more traditional film background where you may already be working as a Producer, Production intrigue or First AD) – if you want to work with visual artists to make exceptional moving‑image work, we would love to hear from you.

FTE salary starting at £30,000 and capped at £35,000 depending on experience. Film and Video Umbrella operates a four‑day week, and the Producer roles are three days per week within this.
