Role Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Education Centre for a motivated individual to take on a pivotal role in co‑ordinating and administering the Scottish Graduate Entry to Medicine (ScotGEM) Programme. This is a fast‑paced, rewarding area of medical education for someone who thrives on challenge and variety.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and administer the ScotGEM Programme for NHS Dumfries & Galloway.
  • Serve as a key member of the ScotGEM team to provide senior administrative support to students before and during placement.
  • Prioritise a very busy workload, working confidently and unsupervised.
  • Maintain accurate records and communication with students, universities and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Outstanding organisational and time‑management skills.
  • Experience delivering undergraduate or postgraduate medical education is desirable.
  • Familiarity with the ScotGEM programme is desirable; training will be provided.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Interviews will be held on Friday 30th January 2026 in the Education Centre at Dumfries & Galloway Royal Infirmary.
