Job Summary

Job Ref No. ECC2250-165S - Teaching/Child Support Pay Range: Scale 3. Position Start Date: Immediate. Contract Type: Part-time Fixed Term.

Position: 1 to 1 SEND Learning Assistant at Bocking Primary School.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personalised 1-to-1 support to pupils with complex SEND, enabling them to access the curriculum.
  • Collaborate closely with teaching staff and the SEND coordinator to implement EHCPs.
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress, adapting support strategies as needed.
  • Foster an inclusive, safe, and supportive learning environment.
  • Assist with the development of pupils’ social, emotional and behavioural skills.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven experience working with children with learning needs and SEND.
  • Understanding of strategies to support pupils with a range of SEND.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable Qualities
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.

Working Pattern & Remuneration

Hours: 17.50 Hours per Week.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 9:30-13:00, 38 Weeks per Year.

Salary: Scale 3 (pay range). Note: As this post is linked to specific SEND funding, the contract may be withdrawn should the funding be withdrawn.
