EnterpriseDB Corporation seeks Principal Sales Engineer in Boston, MA.

Job Description: Partner with EDB Account Executives in their selling efforts, acting as a trusted customer advocate. Conduct product proof of concepts from initial requirements gathering to successfully achieving objectives and success criteria through clear planning methodical execution. Deliver technical product presentations, demonstrating core feature sets and key value propositions. Evangelize Postgres with developers to support EDB’s efforts to expand our footprint of and demand for Postgres in large enterprise customers. Telecommuting allowed for this position.

Minimum Qualifications: The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or closely related field plus five (5) years of computer related experience. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or closely related field, the employer will accept two (2) additional years of computer related experience. The position requires five (5) years of experience in all of the following:

• Relational database (PostgreSQL, Oracle, DB2, MySQL, and SQL server).

• Linux OS system administration.

• Software installation and troubleshooting.

• Application development using Postgres or MongoDB.

• Database schema design and development, server tuning, and debugging.

• SQL and SQL query writing, tuning, and debugging.

• Developing and implementing user-defined data types and functions in Postgres.

• Private/Public/Hybrid Cloud – AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, VMware Cloud, OpenStack, and Virtualization.

• Containers (Docker), Kubernetes, Microservices, PaaS (OpenShift, CloudFoundry) as used with databases.

Offered Wage: $191,300.00 per year
