A local educational authority is seeking a dedicated educator in Galashiels to teach pupils with moderate to severe learning needs. The role involves supporting class teachers within a specialized team to ensure effective learning experiences for students facing complex challenges. This temporary position lasts until January 3, 2027, and requires a degree in education, along with full registration from the General Teaching Council Scotland. Salary: £18,206.76 - £22,853.16 per annum

Contract Duration: Temporary Secondment cover until 03/01/2027.
To teach pupils who have either moderate or severe and complex learning needs in a class setting in the support centre. To work within Children and Young People's Services Additional Needs Team to support class teachers and school managers in the provision of effective teaching and learning for pupils with profound, severe and complex learning needs.
A degree or diploma in primary education or PGCE/PGDE along with evidence of continued personal professional development.
