Our Product Designers have a broad remit, conducting user research, undertaking prototyping and usability testing, and ultimately designing incredible experiences that delight our customers. You’ll sit in our Onboarding team, ensuring new customers have an awesome first experience with Zilch, from their first touch point, through to their first purchase, driving user activation and early life retention. Some of the projects you’ll be working on include refining our referrals program, walking customers through KYC, and optimising our conversion rates while ensuring customers understand the true value of Zilch.

You’ll work side by side with the Onboarding Product Manager, Data Analyst and Engineering team, to collectively tackle some of the biggest challenges we have at Zilch.

Designing and continuously iterating on an onboarding journey that is optimised for conversion

Working closely with the Onboarding Product Manager to turn complex problems and high-level requirements into refined designs that improve the overall customer experience

Contributing to the key KPIs within the onboarding area, and understand how these roll up and ultimately impact business objectives

Identifying impactful growth opportunities by leveraging user research, quantitative data, and experimentation frameworks

Embedding yourself within the design team, participating in reviews, providing constructive feedback and advocating for user centred design

Ensuring customers experience a high quality and consistent experience across the app by championing user centric design

Presenting your designs to senior management, and being comfortable defending them under scrutiny

You have experience creating user centric designs for a native app that is consumer facing

You have worked in a fast-paced environment, and thrive off the energy of rapid iteration and tight timelines

You have strong communication skills and can defend decisions you have made with user insights and data, not opinion

You are comfortable designing onboarding flows, and understand when to add or remove friction to optimise conversion for quality customers

You have planned and run user research (e.g. interviews, surveys and/or usability testing), to uncover customer problems and validate design decisions

You have a good understanding of design principles and best practises, and know how to leverage design software (we use Figma)
