Job summary
A training provider in Bathgate is offering an apprenticeship as a Paint Technician. This role allows you to earn while learning and gain an SCQF automotive qualification. Apprentice Paint Technician – Scottish Apprenticeships – Bathgate.
Earn while you learn and gain an SCQF automotive qualification by working full time in a Garage Paint Shop. This apprenticeship is based in Bathgate and offers an immediate start.
The Vehicle Paintwork Repair apprenticeship provides prospective paintwork technicians with the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out the role of a modern vehicle paint technician.
- Contributing to housekeeping
- Reducing risks to health and safety
- Maintaining working relationships
- Preparing metal and pre‑painted surfaces
- Establishing defects on motor vehicles
- Spot repair on motor vehicles
- Carry out blend/fade out repair
- Edge to edge repair
- Mixing and matching colours for motor vehicles
- Advanced colour matching for motor vehicles
- National 4 or above in English, Maths, and either a Science or Technical Subject, or expected to achieve if working towards this level.
- Full UK Driving licence (necessary for training in Glasgow).
- Dedication and proactive approach to work and learning.
- Ability to prioritise and work to timelines.
- Willingness to work in a practical environment using your own initiative.
- Keen to learn and kickstarting a career in the automotive industry.
