Job description

Join MSCI’s Private Assets Product team and help shape the future of private markets. As Vice President of Product Management for GP Solutions, you will lead product discovery, development, and go-to-market execution for solutions that empower General Partners (GPs) across the investment lifecycle—from sourcing and underwriting to portfolio management, fundraising, and reporting. This role is about translating GP needs into tangible products that blend data, analytics, and AI-driven intelligence. You will be the voice of the client, the architect of the vision, and the driver of execution—ensuring MSCI delivers solutions that GPs rely on to make better decisions, scale efficiently, and successfully raise and deploy capital. If you are passionate about product strategy, data-driven innovation, and building solutions that define the next generation of GP workflows, this is your opportunity to make an industry-wide impact.

  • Define and evolve the product vision and roadmap focused on GP investment lifecycle workflows (sourcing, underwriting, portfolio management, fundraising, reporting).
  • Lead product discovery and ideation with clients, validating pain points and opportunities through structured engagement.
  • Partner closely with MSCI’s data and research teams to embed proprietary insights, benchmarks, and analytics into product design.
  • Translate client needs into clear business cases, prioritizing initiatives based on client value, feasibility, and market impact.
  • Collaborate with UX and design teams to create intuitive, workflow-centric user experiences tailored to GP needs.
  • Drive iterative product development with engineering, delivering AI-first, analytics-driven solutions through agile sprints.
  • Define scalable operating models that integrate data, research, technology, and client workflows effectively.
  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies in partnership with sales, marketing, and client coverage.
  • Position products in the market by highlighting differentiated intelligence, analytics, and workflow integration.
  • Monitor adoption, client feedback, and product performance to refine roadmap and ensure long-term success.
  • Champion a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the Private Assets franchise.
  • GP Investment Lifecycle Expertise – 8+ years of experience in private markets with deep understanding of GP workflows (sourcing, underwriting, portfolio management, fundraising, reporting).
  • Prior GP Background (Strong Plus) – Direct experience working within a GP organization, with firsthand knowledge of investment and operational challenges.
  • Product Leadership – Proven track record leading discovery, iterative development, and GTM launches.
  • Data, Research & Analytics Orientation – Ability to integrate proprietary datasets and research into scalable, insight-rich solutions.
  • AI Product Experience – Success developing AI-first products and applying AI to transform workflows.
  • Stakeholder Influence – Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to partner across engineering, data, research, and commercial teams.
  • Analytical & Execution-Oriented – Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and disciplined execution.
  • Education – Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, or related field required; MBA, CFA, or CAIA preferred.
  • Mindset – Curious, innovative, and growth-oriented, with a passion for transforming how GPs operate.
