We are in search of a DeFi Quant engineer possessing exceptional analytical capabilities, as demonstrated by a background in mathematics, physics, computer science, engineering, or similar fields. A profound enthusiasm for onchain markets, and the technology that powers them is crucial.

You will have a strong technical foundation, but even more important is a genuine interest in the mechanics of onchain markets. This includes an interest in how liquidity behaves across concentrated liquidity AMMs, the dynamics of tick-range management, and the growing influence of ecosystems like Hyperliquid and Lighter. Candidates excited by areas such as DEX–CEX arbitrage, MEV incentive structures, and emerging strategies like just-in-time liquidity provision will thrive. An entrepreneurial mindset, and the conviction that any complex market or engineering challenge can be understood and solved, is highly valued.

Preference is given to individuals who are either located in, or open to self-relocating to London, valuing the benefits of an in-person work environment among peers with similar interests.

This position offers a distinct chance to play a pivotal role in the evolution of our DeFi infrastructure. You will collaborate intimately with the founding team on vital and intricate aspects of our operations, assuming responsibility for specific areas from the outset. The role affords ample opportunity for proactive engagement in shaping your duties, contributing to meaningful and enduring advancements within the company.

Extending and improving our onchain/offchain connectivity stack across AMMs and orderbook venues: including Uniswap-v3–style pools, Hyperliquid, and major CEXs, whilst accounting for differing L2 finalisation models (optimistic vs. ZK rollups, fraud-proof vs. validity-proof windows, and fast vs. delayed settlement guarantees).

Fine-tuning and benchmarking our core pricing and execution engines for optimal performance in strategies spanning tick-range LP management, DEX–CEX arbitrage, MEV-aware routing, and cross-rollup execution with varying confirmation assumptions.

Optimising our data ingestion and network pathways for ultra-fast access to mempool flows, onchain state diffs, and high-frequency market data across L1 and multiple L2s with heterogeneous finality timelines.

Designing, developing, and validating new components for intelligent liquidity strategies, such as JIT liquidity, dynamic range management, trade monitoring, and real-time risk controls tailored to the latency and settlement characteristics of different rollups.

An advanced degree in mathematics, statistics, physics, computer science

Very strong applied programming skills (2+ years) in Rust and Solidity

Excellent onchain markets intuition, the ability to to understand why and how certain opportunities exist

Experience building low-latency, high-throughput systems for onchain data processing or trading.

Proficiency in writing high-performance, multi-threaded and asynchronous code.

Experience developing scalable distributed systems and services interacting with L1/L2 networks

Solid understanding of database systems, basic SQL, and efficient state/query modelling.

Comfortable working with Linux/Unix, AWS, Git, Docker, and modern devops workflows.
