This is a full-time, on-site role for an HGV Mechanic at Miller Plant LTD located in Midmar. The HGV Mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, servicing, and repairing heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) and machinery. Day-to-day tasks include routine maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards, and collaborating with team members to ensure minimal downtime of the fleet.
- Skilled in mechanical diagnostics, servicing, and repairs of HGVs and related machinery
- Experience with electrical systems, troubleshooting, and repairing faults
- Knowledge of tools, equipment, and maintenance practices for heavy vehicle operations
- Ability to adhere to safety regulations and protocols in a workshop environment
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Relevant technical qualification or certification in vehicle maintenance is preferred
- Prior experience in the HGV, plant, or heavy machinery sector is an advantage
