Job summary

A leading educational support organization in the United Kingdom is seeking passionate Education Experts to work with disengaged students. The role requires innovative practitioners who can create supportive environments outside traditional classrooms, offering flexible working conditions at competitive rates between £16.00 - £25.00 per hour. Candidates should have relevant teaching qualifications and experience in teaching students with special educational needs, alongside an understanding of safeguarding practices. Qualifications

  • Experience of teaching students with Special Educational Needs, Social, Emotional or Mental Health needs.
  • Work on a 1:1 basis with students outside traditional classroom settings.
  • Design interventions to support academic engagement of students.

Responsibilities

  • Report progress, behavioral presentation & safeguarding concerns.
  • Carry out risk assessments of environments and activities.
  • Attend multi-agency meetings as required.

Skills

Ability to build relationships with young people facing crises
Intermediate IT skills
Specialist knowledge of learning disabilities and conditions such as ADHD, PDA, ASD
Awareness of National Curriculum and relevant key stages
Driving Licence and access to own vehicle

Education

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Teaching Qualification (PTLLS or higher)
Safeguarding qualification from last 12 months
Qualification in therapeutic discipline
Training in de-escalation techniques within last 12 months
Enhanced DBS certificate from last three months
