Job description
Reporting to: Operations Planning Supervisor
Reference: R9158

To facilitate the production of animal feed in a safe and timely manner that ensure quality standards, both set by ForFarmers and external verification bodies are met. To ensure all goods in and out are processed in a timely manner and conform to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operation of intake, weighbridge and warehouse management as required .
  • Enforcement of traffic and visitor rules at site.
  • Assist in instances of emergency or incident.
  • Support the hazard and accident reporting process.
  • Sampling,testing and reporting of raw materials on arrival.
  • Accurate weighing, recording,handling and reporting of incoming and outgoing materials.
  • Support the complaints process, undertaking QC checks, investigations and plant /operational improvements as required .
  • Proactively support the PMand TM/SL to ensure plant efficiency, bottlenecks and improvements are ongoing.
  • Undertake hygiene tasks require d to ensure safe and compliant operation of site .
  • Work with in the Environment al Management system to ensure both internal and external standards are met. (140001/50001)
  • Assist in the training of colleagues as appropriate .
  • Cover other roles within production and operations as staffing requirements demand.
  • Undertake site improvement works as required , especially when link to audit compliance.
  • Support the control of pests across the site and ensure that operations pay due consideration to minimising the impact posed by pests.
  • Other ad hoc tasks as requested .
The successful candidate will have:
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding/Knowledge of SAP
  • Excellent team player.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter/organised.
