Qualifications

The role

As a Warehouse Operative, you’ll be at the heart of our logistics operations, ensuring the smooth, accurate, and safe flow of materials that directly support the Royal Navy’s ability to maintain and operate its fleet. From receiving and storing goods to picking and dispatching materials, your work will help sustain operational readiness and deliver a reliable logistics service.

Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

  • Receive, check, and record incoming shipments accurately
  • Pick, pack, label, and prepare outgoing shipments to high standards
  • Update inventory systems and support stock checks and reconciliations
  • Operate forklifts, pallet trucks, and other manual handling equipment safely
  • Work collaboratively with warehouse and supply chain teams to meet daily targets.

This role is full time working 35 hours per week and is based on various different sites at Plymouth.

Essential experience of the Warehouse Operative
  • Experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment
  • Confident operating manual handling equipment (or willing to train)
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
Qualifications for the Warehouse Operative
  • Forklift Truck licence (or willingness to train)
  • IT literacy, including basic Microsoft Office skills
  • Full UK driving licence.

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
