A leading automotive parts supplier in Basildon is seeking a Warehouse Controller to oversee the smooth operation of warehouse teams. Your role involves managing daily performance, ensuring accurate stock handling, and fostering a positive work environment. You will assist with planning and providing cover for the team during absences. The position requires an individual who can lead effectively and is committed to delivering exceptional service. Working hours are approximately 45 hours per week, including alternate Saturdays.

About The Role

As a Warehouse Controller as GSF Car Parts, you are responsible for motivating and leading a team of Warehouse Operatives. As the Warehouse Controller, you will ensure stock can deliver the sales budgets and the operational functions of the Warehouse run smoothly.

Main Duties include:

• Manage the organisation and performance to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the Goods In, Goods Out, Returns and Stock Control departments
• Pick and load van / carrier accurately for timely customer delivery when required
• Check stock quantities are correct against computer
• Use personal judgment and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles
• Ensure the operational functions of the Warehouse run smoothly and assist the branch manager with holidays/sickness cover, preparing weekly plans, developing the warehouse team and work with Drivers to ensure the best delivery service for customers.

Working hours: 45 (average) hours Monday to Friday, including alternate Saturday working
