Job description
Overview

A full-time 37.5 hours opportunity has arisen to ensure all reception processes are carried out in a timely and accurate manner to ensure an efficient reception and quality service to all users. The post holder will interact with the General Public, Nursing, Medical staff and other Trust Administrative and Clerical Staff.

Responsibilities
  • Attend, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way.
  • Speak face to face or over the telephone to deal with patients' needs, including booking appointments.
  • Use and access the Patient Centre and attend patients on reception desks.
  • Book appointments for patients as required.
  • Deal with enquiries of a sensitive nature.
  • Attend departmental meetings as required.
  • Access the Patient Administration System to accurately record and collect patient data, ensuring errors are identified and corrected, including patient demographics.
  • Coordinate clinic preparation and various administrative tasks to support running of clinical activity.
