An excitingadministration opportunity has arisen to work within Coombehaven Ward at TheCedars. Coombehaven is a 16 bedded Adult Acute Inpatient ward providingrecovery focused and compassionate care. This role will be up to 37.5hrs per week.

This is ahugely rewarding and unique administration role which will give you anexcellent insight into adult mental health conditions and the range oftherapies and interventions that we offer. It will also provide you withlifelong skills in dealing with challenging situations and people from diversebackgrounds as well as the ability to work in an ever changing environmentwhere you can contribute to positive changes in the NHS and society as a whole.

Supporting ourpatients on their path to recovery, whatever this might look like for them,provides our staff with a huge sense of pride and joy. You will also feel greatsatisfaction from providing our clinicians with an excellent administrationservice which makes their job easier and enables them to spend more time withour patients. You will be supported to reach your full potential, with opportunitiesfor continuing development, training and career progression into a wide rangeof administrative, management and/or clinical roles depending on your area ofinterest.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder's role will be to work in partnership with the Ward Manager and MDT as Ward Administrator in the team ensuring high quality administrative support that will enable the provision of the best possible care to service-users.

This role is interesting and varied, some of the main duties include:

  • Provide support to Ward Manager and MDT
  • Minute taking of MDTs, business meetings and adhoc professional meetings
  • Amending and updating staff rotas (Health Roster)
  • Ordering of supplies
  • Uploading of patient records
  • Uploading to staff files
  • Petty cash
  • Producing packs for patients

Qualifications
  • Business Administration Level 3 / T Level qualification in Management and Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • Evidence of continuing professional and personal development.
  • ICDL (International Computer Driving License), or equivalent experience.
Experience
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload and adapt to change when required.
  • Previous experience of working within an administrative or secretarial team.
  • Experience of dealing with confidential and complex information.
  • Ability to take accurate formal and informal minutes.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Intermediate IT skills in Microsoft Office Packages, ie Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of a range of administrative procedures including diary management and arranging appointments.
  • Experience or understanding of creating electronic records, electronic filing systems.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and to work under pressure.
