We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team in the UK. Are you up for the challenge? Apply now to join our team!

The successful applicant will be involved with:
  • Create a plan of sales appointments with prospects, developing and existing clients, with a game plan to engage and secure opportunities
  • Develop all necessary procedures and processes to ensure that the sales function operates efficiently and effectively and achieves objectives
  • Create and identify new business opportunities
  • Contact new and existing clients either by face-to-face meetings, telephone calls or networking
  • Prepare presentations and proposals for prospective clients
  • Setting your own appointments and managing your own time
  • Required to sell air and sea freight services, both imports and exports
  • Support Business Development at Sales Meetings
  • Issue Visit Reports via the company CRM
  • Meet sales reporting and visit KPI’s
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers and other relevant bodies to ensure that the company’s maximum sales potential is realised in your area
  • Monitor the sales performance of competitors to ensure the company maintains and develops its competitive position.
  • Identification, development and conclusion of national and international general cargo transactions, specifically container export sales
  • Development of tailor‑made transport solutions, in close cooperation with our specialist departments as needed
  • Implementation of offer presentations, quotations, negotiations and conclusion of contracts
  • Active expansion of an opportunity pipeline that is suitable for achieving the GP goals in a sustainable way
  • Regular customer visits (on‑site) with a frequency of at least 4 appointments per week, in person or via Teams, or similar
  • End‑to‑end maintenance of the CRM system, including timely documentation of all customer contacts, opportunity statuses and sales‑relevant information
  • Market and competition observation in addition to active participation in events and networking platforms
The successful applicant will have/be:
  • Ability to work on your own
  • Use own initiative - self‑starter
  • Driving Licence required
  • Good Market Knowledge
  • Travel in the UK is required
  • Computer Literate
  • Experienced and motivated in sales
  • Able to plan as well as work to meet deadlines
  • Several years of sales experience in international logistics or in the field of complex transport solutions
  • Strong hunter mentality, combined with a solution‑oriented consulting approach
  • Structured, goal‑oriented way of working with a high level of personal responsibility
  • Very good communication skills
  • Willingness to take regular business trips
