Overview

Wake Night Support Worker at Summerhill Lane Care Home (ABI Specialist service on Summerhill Lane). We are opening a brand-new residential care home in 2025 in Newport, providing accommodation and support for up to 12 adults with Acquired Brain Injuries and Neurological Conditions. We operate with a person-centred approach, working with families, carers and healthcare professionals to create tailored support plans that foster independence and well-being.

We are looking for compassionate, dedicated Waking Night Support Workers to join our new team and help build a community based on care, respect and empowerment. You’ll play a direct role in creating a warm, welcoming environment for residents and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Support residents in maintaining and developing independence through daily activities and encouraging personal growth.
  • Promote engagement in hobbies, interests, and life skills development, such as budgeting, shopping, and paying bills.
  • Assist with healthcare needs, including accompanying residents to medical appointments and supporting with medication administration.
  • Provide assistance with personal care (depending on individual needs), including help with daily tasks like bathing and dressing.
  • Support with domestic duties, including cleaning and preparing meals to create a comfortable, homely atmosphere.
