A local charity organization is looking for Volunteer Stock Sorters in Uckfield. As a stock sorter, you will play a crucial role in managing incoming donations, sorting and preparing them for charity shops. The role offers the chance to gain experience, learn new skills, and be part of a community-focused initiative. Benefits include a discount on donations and refreshments during your volunteer hours. The Kit Wilson Trust rescue and re-home unwanted animals, mainly cats and dogs, and have a wildlife rehabilitation program and an emergency helpline.
The Trust’s Rescue Centre is also home to horses, donkeys, cats, goats, birds and small mammals where, in the interest of their welfare, they remain in their care.
They have shops located in Hailsham, Heathfield and Uckfield.
Volunteer stock sorters play a vital role in supporting our charity’s goals by helping manage incoming donations at our donation hub in Ridgewood, Uckfield.
As a stock sorter, you will be sorting, organising, categorising and preparing donations ready for our charity shops to sell and raise money for The Kit Wilson Trust.
We greatly appreciate any time that you can spare to lend a hand and there are no set working hours for this role.
