Job description
Overview

Veterinary Surgeon OOH Weekend role – a rewarding opportunity for a Vet with an interest in Emergency & Critical Care. The role is based in Bessacarr, Doncaster, South Yorkshire, and involves working across six weeks with four weekends on and two weekends off. The service is part of the well‑established MiNightVet team, providing out‑of‑hours support to local first‑opinion member practices from our modern clinic, equipped with a CT scanner and colour doppler ultrasound.

Responsibilities
  • Provide OOH veterinary services for several local practices, delivering routine and emergency surgical care.
  • Maintain high standards of clinical care and client service as part of the MiNightVet team.
  • Collaborate with the day team and an experienced RVN to ensure seamless service coverage.
  • Participate in ongoing clinical development and CPD support.
Qualifications
  • Experience as a small animal vet with surgical experience in routine and emergency procedures.
  • Strong communication skills and a team‑player mentality.
  • Passion for delivering excellent veterinary care and client service.
  • Registered with RCVS or equivalent veterinary authority.
Salary & Hours

Salary up to £85,100 FTE, depending on experience. Working hours: 12pm – 7pm on Saturdays and 8am – 7pm on Sundays, following a 4 on / 2 off rota.
