“In nature, nothing stands alone. The whole supports the parts, and at the same time, the parts support the whole. And they do so effortlessly.”
An excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and skilled vegetable grower to join our small gardening team at Loch Ness as we continue to develop both our exceptional Aldourie Castle Garden and the further market garden at Clune Farm. Our Scottish garden is designed by Tom Stuart‑Smith and is part of a contemporary reimagining of a historic castle garden on a 500‑acre estate on the banks of Loch Ness near Inverness. The successful candidate will also assist the garden team in general maintenance under the guidance of an experienced Head Gardener. Aldourie comprises a castle garden and walled garden which contain extensive naturalistic herbaceous plantings as well as vegetable and fruit areas. There are also glasshouses, an arboretum and parkland. Clune Farm is a relatively new asset which you will be supporting as we develop our concept.
We attract individuals from all walks of life and of all ages. What unites us is a shared passion for our 200‑year vision, our commitment to putting people first, and working together as a team to inspire our guests and visitors.
You will be a knowledgeable and experienced vegetable grower, with a deep understanding of plant care and horticultural practices. You will approach your work with precision and consistency, staying organised and adaptable while maintaining exceptional standards.
