A local independent school is seeking a dedicated Tutor to deliver engaging lessons to students with special educational needs at Pierview Academy, Gravesend. The ideal candidate will have a minimum Level 2 qualification in English and Maths, experience working with young people, and a commitment to fostering learner success. Salary: £24,300 - 27,600 per annum

Pierview Academy is a small independent school supporting young people with special educational needs and challenging behaviour. We are seeking a dedicated Tutor to deliver engaging lessons to small groups of learners within our Foundation Learning curriculum, covering English, Maths, ICT, vocational learning, and personal and social development.
Plan and deliver lessons that motivate and support learners’ progress.
Track and record learner achievement and behaviour.
Build positive relationships with learners, parents, and colleagues.
Guide Learning Support Assistants and promote a positive learning environment.
Uphold the school’s ethos of Attendance, Routine, Respect, Relationships, Trust, and Teaching (ARRRT).
Ensure individual needs, risk assessments, and support plans are followed.
Minimum Level 2 qualification in English and Maths.
Experience working with young people, ideally with SEND or behavioural needs.
Confident in behaviour management and inclusive teaching.
Compassionate, patient, and committed to learner success.
Willing to undertake relevant training (e.g., Team Teach).
