A Christian Charity in Birmingham seeks a Treasurer to join their Board of Trustees. Candidates should possess accountancy qualifications (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) alongside leadership and communication skills. The role involves governance and strategic input while ensuring compliance with legal and financial obligations. Trustees should be active and practicing Christians, contributing to the charity’s mission. Opportunities include influence on corporate faith practices and support for community events.
ChaplaincyPlus is seeking to appoint a committed and passionate individual with appropriate skills and experience to join our Board of Trustees as Treasurer.
We are keen to hear from committed Christians, with a heart and desire for living out faith in the workplace and helping and supporting others to do the same.
We are seeking someone with accountancy experience, preferably in a Not-for-Profit organisation, to join our Board of Trustees as Treasurer.
The successful applicant will ideally be:
Trustees play an active role in governing the charity, setting vision, strategic priorities, and ensuring the charity complies with legal, charitable, and financial requirements. This is a great opportunity to make a real difference to how faith is lived out in the workplaces of the city.
The Board meet 8-10 times a year and Trustees are expected to support and attend any additional events for the Network. Following an initial conversation, the ‘ChaplaincyPlus Trustees Handbook’ and ‘ChaplaincyPlus Memorandum and Articles of Association’ can be made available.
ChaplaincyPlus is a Christian Charity, and all the Trustees must promote and safeguard the charitable purposes for which ChaplaincyPlus exists. These purposes are ‘the advancement of the Christian faith and the promotion of Christian principles and teaching in all aspects of human relationships.’ It is therefore essential that all Board Members are active and practising Christians and are ideally in good fellowship with their own church.
